chipDISK Overview
The Kontron Embedded Modules chipDISK modules are very compact and rugged solid state disks based on Flash technology. Simply fixed with a screw it works perfectly in rough industrial applications. It is designed to fit onto the board - not harming the boards dimension. Because of the standard IDE interface no special software adaptation is needed.

All operating systems can handle the chipDISK as a standard drive. This non rotating storage device is very rugged. It easily withstands tough environment such as shock, vibration, extreme temperature changes and magnetic fields.

The chipDISK is plugged on the IDE interface of the CPU board and locked with a screw. The chipDISK offers state of the art capacity and enhances your application with additional reliability. It's very suitable to be used for mobile applications.
